REACH SCHOLARS - Hall County

REACH Georgia is the State of Georgia’s first needs-based mentorship and college scholarship program. The mission is to ensure that Georgia’s academically promising students have the academic, mentorship, programming, social, and financial support needed to graduate from high school, access college, and achieve post-secondary success.
The REACH Scholar Journey:
  • 8th grade – 12th grade programming and mentorship
  • Assigned a Center Point trained mentor and an academic coach that continues with them throughout their journey
  • Soft skills training
  • Goal setting
  • Career exploration & guidance
  • Educational field trips
6 “Pieces” of REACH:
  1. Student Commitment
  2. Parent/Guardian Commitment
  3. Mentor Commitment
  4. Academic Coach Commitment
  5. Continuation of Academic & Social Support
  6. Financial Scholarship if the scholar maintains a "B" average, attends programming and mentorship meetings, maintains appropriate attendance/behavior .

 How can you help?

Each $3500 donation will be matched with $6500 of public and private funds to complete the $10,000 donation that will sponsor one REACH Scholar’s college scholarship. Smaller donations are welcome.
We ensure that 100% of your tax-deductible donation will be used to support REACH Scholars by leveraging mentoring, coaching and a $10,000 scholarship.
For each new eighth grade scholar selected for the program, a $10,000 scholarship will be reserved in their name.  For every $3,500 raised in our community, REACH Georgia Foundation and state appropriations will contribute the remaining $6,500. At this time we have an immediate need for donations, sponsorships and mentors.

For sponsorship and mentoring opportunities, please reach out to Michele Hood at Michele.hood@hallco.org or Meg Jett at meg.jett@hallco.org

Donations for scholarships are being taken now. All monetary donations are tax deductible by donating to the REACH Scholars: Gainesville-Hall Fund at the North Georgia Community Foundation.
Checks can be mailed to 615 Oak Street, Suite 1300 Gainesville, Georgia 30501. Please note the REACH in memo
OR you can donate online at www.ngcf.org.
